I was pleased to talk at the huge SPIE conference in San Diego this year, it was great to get some new (non-quantum!) perspectives on optical trapping.

I delivered a tutorial on Optomechanics to the SFB meeting in Innsbruck. Oh man did it rain!

I attended the unwieldy DAMOP in Providence, Rhode Island this year. I was glad to give a talk about a topic new to this community, and to learn (or remind myself!) of the current challenges in the field of Atomic Physics.

I was really excited to be invited to a one day meeting on Optomechanics research in the UK. There are not many experimental groups, but the community is growing!
