Yanhui joined us in 2018, and we are sad to lose him, but excited about his future research career at ETH Zurich.

It was a pleasure to host Dr Jaya Vijayan as an extended visitor to the group. We’re looking forward to many more collaborations in the future.

Yanhui & James M were excited to attend the LeviNet sponsored meeting Exploiting Levitated Particles in the Quantum Regime in Bad Honef, Germany. James presented the group’s work on levitated electromechanics.

Welcome Jon, who has joined us after completing his thesis “Microwave induced optical nonlinearities in cuprous oxide” at Durham University. He will be working on our electromechanics projects.
