Our work on detection of nanoparticles in Silicon microcavities has been published in Applied Physics Letters. This technology will be really important for controlling smaller nanoparticles, and in turn realising a quantum physics with massive objects.
The Quantum Workshop is James’ public engagement project.
My Tweets- New mini-technology from our lab! @yugang.ren has built a tiny ion trap, to integrate nanoparticles into circuits, for sensing, signal processing (and who-knows maybe even quantum physics).Pretty happy about this new graffiti which has appeared near my house! @fatcapspraysWith social distancing, it isn't often that that I get to be in the lab. Today, however, I got to do some *experiments*!Super happy to have had a #dumplingparty with my fantastic research team for #chinesenewyear. An evening of 100 dumplings!
